French Press Loves Wood Type

I feel very fortunate to have come across some wood type in my various excursions. I have acquired type from farm shows, antique markets, fleas, friends, basements, and estate sales. A lot of the times friends call me to give a head's up--so I am grateful to them :) Below are a few photos from our collection, some taken by our workshop attendees! I've followed those with some amazing type site! Enjoy and happy Friday!!

  1. Hi - I came across your website via Briarpress.org - I pretty much know nothing about letterpress but have always appreciated the beautiful feel of the high quality paper and inks. I live in Fonthill, Ontario not far from you and hope to attend one of your workshops in the future. I just wanted to let you know that I noticed someone in Welland has a lot of type offered for sale in case you didn't see the ad.
