Postal Rate Increase // Wedding Wednesday

Today is my first Wedding Wednesday post! After 10 years in the invitation business I realized that some folks may find my insane amount of wedding knowledge useable in your own lives. Whether it's how to address an envelope, printing tips and tricks or finding the right sizes and weights for invites...my plan is to deliver this knowledge to you, weekly! Wedding Wednesdays will range in topics and mediums, but will rely on you to provide feedback on what works--and what doesn't work! If you have questions, please ask away! We are here to help!

POSTAGE RATE INCREASE! So, as of January 21, 2018 the cost of postage in the U.S. will increase by $.01 (pending approval of the Postal Regulatory Commission). For brides, this seemingly slight increase may add just a few extra pennies in postage, but it's important that the correct stamps are used--otherwise RETURN-o to YOU-o. Not fun when you've spent so much time, effort and let's not forget money on your invites! Luckily, we still have amazing forever stamps that will always (and forever) work! View options and purchase online at USPS here. I've attached a quick little diagram (above) to show you costs and some of my favorite Forever stamps below. Keep in mind, standard postage only works up to a total weight of 1 oz. If the envelopes is more than 1 oz. (but still less than 2 oz.) this is an additional $.21. So now you're up to $.71/per envelope. This can get pricey when you start to do the math. Also, its' worth noting that square envelopes are always considered "non-machinable" and are $.71 up to 1 oz. If you are under 2 oz., the cost increases by $.21 again to $.92. When in doubt, take your envelope and all of the contents to the U.S. Post Office and ask them to weigh it for postage. I still do this if I'm unsure of my scale. Of course, you can always do custom postage which is an amazing added custom touch to any envelope. For about 2x the cost of USPS stamps, you can purchase a custom designed postage stamp that can feature a monogram, photo or any artwork. 1. Hello dear,

Nice information about Wedding Card. The modern bride always strives hard to create spectacular and splendid memories. Theme weddings are gaining unmatched popularity amongst individuals, and they love to choose old-world styles nowadays. Apart from the décor and dresses, wedding invites are also inspired by vintage ideas. A few months ago, one of my celebrity friend purchases wedding invitation cards from Lavender Paperie, for his Wedding ceremony, who offer the most absolute gorgeous, vintage-inspired wedding invitations around.

    Thanks,
    Regards
